Music & Aviation Day Camp at Canada Aviation and Space Museum
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is pleased to collaborate with Sonart Music School to offer weekly Music and Aviation Summer Day Camps at the Museum.
Each day includes music lessons, aerodynamics demonstrations, outdoor activities and the children also perform in a concert at the end of the week!
Campers take off on a full flight of activities artfully balanced between music and aviation. Children become familiar with aeronautical concepts, including the principles of flight, and are introduced to various musical instruments such as drums, guitar, piano, voice, and violin. Your child will be challenged to push his or her limits through fascinating activities and captivating projects.

‘’I recommend this camp to anyone who will listen – as a parent, the engagement level of the councelors are the key to this camp, it makes me feel like I know she will have fun, not just be someone’s “charge” for the day.’’
‘’My husband and I were so impressed with the way this camp is run. Organization is impeccable, staff is incredible. Our son learned so much. He will be returning next summer! ‘’
‘’I have a child that suffers from severe anxiety caused by numerous hospital stays…the camp counsellors, Astro especially, was extremely successful at making camp a place where he could talk away his anxiety and feel secure. I’m always amazed at how professional and caring these young counsellors are. It’s a blessing for parents that have seen their child isolate himself and struggle with the fear of pain to just drop off their child with no issues! A HUGE thank you to Obélix who has been a familiar figure at this camp for three years now. His presence reassured both parents and our son again this year. His energy is incredibly contagious. We hope to see him again next year! ‘’
“I wanted to tell you what a wonderful experience our daughter Addison had last week at your camp. She loved the mix of music, outdoor play and the museum environment all rolled into one camp experience.””Our Son had a lovely time at the at Camp last week. Thank-you, and especially all the people who worked at the Camp.”
– Pragash Krishnamoorthy
“It is incredible that in just one week the kids had the confidence to play an instrument for all their friends and parents at a concert. The passion for music and sincere encouragement from all the camp staff was outstanding. Addison has taken piano lessons for two years but is shy to perform. Seeing her on stage proudly playing last Friday with the support of a Sonart staff member was just wonderful. The slide show during the concert and group photo for each child were very thoughtful gestures. All the Sonart staff have a genuine love of music and sharing that love really comes through. Thank you so much for offering this unique experience to kids. This is by far the best day camp in the city.”
