Sonart Camp at the Canadian Museum of History 

In partnership with the Canadian Museum of History, Sonart presents a camp during March Break and a summer camp under the theme of explorers!

For explorers, this is a vast playground to discover! The enormous green spaces of the Museum and Jacques Cartier Park, the CINÉ + theater, the Museum’s fascinating exhibitions and the Children’s Museum will be explored during discovery workshops where creativity, imagination and adventure will be at the heart of the museum. honor!

History, archeology, travels, discoveries and cultures and even more themes will be addressed! Your child will be immersed in a captivating world where he will learn and increase his curiosity and knowledge while having fun!

The Museum’s location is ideal, close to downtown bridges and easily accessible by public transit. Every day you drop off your child at the Museum will be a day full of discoveries. It’s an adventure not to be missed!

Fees – $300 / week

BEFORE-AND-AFTER CARE

MUST BE PRE-BOOKED

MORNING : 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. • $30 PER  WEEK PER CHILD
AFTERNOON : 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. • $30 PER WEEK PER CHILD

Cancellation:

No refund after February 15th, 2023.

If your child is sick and have to stay at home, there will be no refund or credit for unused camp days.

SUMMER:

No refund after June 23rd, 2023.

If your child is sick and have to stay at home, there will be no refund or credit for unused camp days.

Security:

I authorize the staff members of Sonart inc. to provide my child with the necessary health care. I also authorize Sonart inc. to transport my child by ambulance or otherwise (at my expense) and to have him admitted to a health facility. In case of emergency, if it is impossible to reach us (parents / guardians and emergency contact persons), I authorize the doctor to provide all the care required by his condition.

** When a camp staff member must intervene to provide care for a child, the latter uses personal protective equipment: gloves, visor and mask.

 

* A guide to the procedures for the arrival and departure of the camp will be communicated to the parents in the precamp email as well as the details of the camp.

  • The camp is open to children 5 to 12 years old.

  • Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Child care (non-included in registration fee) is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

  • Campers will have one activity with the museum’s counsellor per day, sports activities and cultural activities. Activities will be held inside the museum and outside if the weather permits

  • All camp activities are held on the grounds of the Museum. There is no swimming.

  • All Sonart camps are bilingual (English and French).

  • The Sonart day camp does not provide food. Campers are asked to bring their lunch, plus a morning and afternoon snack.

  • IT IS IMPORTANT TO CLEARLY IDENTIFY ALL OF YOUR CHILD’S ITEMS.

  • A non-microwavable lunch (please beware of allergies : PEANUTS AND NUTS ARE FORBIDDEN)

  • Two snacks (please beware of allergies : PEANUTS AND NUTS ARE FORBIDDEN)

  • Water bottle

  • Snowsuit (snowpants, hat, gloves, etc).

  • Sportswear and running shoes

  • Please ensure that all of your child’s items are placed in an identified backpack  before you arrive at the camp.

*It is FORBIDDEN to bring electronic devices or other valuable objects during child care services as well as during the camp.

  • IT IS IMPORTANT TO CLEARLY IDENTIFIY ALL OF YOUR CHILD’S ITEMS.

  • A non-microwavable lunch (please beware of allergies: PEANUT AND NUTS ARE FORBIDDEN )

  • Sunscreen

  • Sportswear and running shoes (open shoes and sandals are not recommended.)
